This series of 6
classes will focus on capturing the range of forms and textures of flowers and
other living plants. Emphasis will be on
working from actual living subjects.
After several classes in the library, as the weather allows we will move
outside to work directly from nature.
Students will learn both basic and refined techniques using graphite
pencils to lay a foundation for more complex media: ink, pastel, acrylic, and
oil.
Individual attention will be given
to both beginning and advanced artists.
The library will provide basic drawing materials (paper, pencils, and
erasers), but students will need to bring a living flower or other plant to
each class, as well as provide their own portable chairs for working outside;
their own easels are optional.
Please note this program will be held in the downstairs program room.
REGISTRATION REQUIRED. SIGN-UP ONCE FOR ALL SESSIONS. ADULT PROGRAM.
